Our Story
Zaatar e Basilico
Zaatar e Basilico was born from us—Sarah & Matteo, a Jordanian Palestinian and an Italian from Genova. We got married, and just like our children are a beautiful blend of Italian and Palestinian, so is our supper club.
Our love for food has always been at the heart of our relationship. Cooking, sharing, and gathering around a table is how we express love and celebrate life. But what truly inspired us to start this journey was something we deeply missed: genuine human connection and culture shared over a meal.
That is the essence of Zaatar e Basilico—a space where cultures meet, stories are exchanged, and homemade food becomes the bridge that brings people together.
